United States Air Force Research Lab

Over a sustained three-year period (2018-2020), our team collaborated closely with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to bolster their strategic growth and leadership development across diverse initiatives. By leveraging a multifaceted approach, we played a pivotal role in shaping AFRL’s S&T roadmap, empowering their leadership, and building a future-proof workforce.

Partnering for Progress

  • Shaping the Future of Science and Technology (S&T) (2018)

  • In 2018, AFRL embarked on a critical mission to define their Science and Technology (S&T) 2030 strategic plan. Recognizing the importance of diverse stakeholder perspectives, we spearheaded an Ideation Event at Kirtland AFB. Our meticulous planning included coordinating logistics, crafting a compelling presentation deck, and facilitating both the main event and breakout sessions. Through interactive brainstorming sessions, we fostered an environment where key stakeholders actively participated and provided valuable feedback on priorities for the S&T 2030 roadmap. This crucial input directly influenced the strategic direction of AFRL’s S&T initiatives, ensuring a roadmap aligned with the needs of the future
  • Empowering AFRL/RQ Leaders (2019)

  • Recognizing the importance of effective leadership within AFRL/RQ, we partnered with leadership and Scoop Associates in 2019 to deliver a comprehensive leadership development program. Our collaborative approach began with designing and implementing targeted development surveys. Leveraging analytical tools, we extracted valuable insights from the data, allowing us to tailor the program to address specific leadership development needs. Furthermore, we crafted insightful assessment reports for individual leaders, providing them with personalized feedback and actionable strategies for continued growth. To ensure clear communication and program management, we developed and maintained detailed project plans in Microsoft PowerPoint, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process. This impactful program equipped AFRL/RQ leaders with the essential skills and strategies necessary to lead their teams more effectively, ultimately propelling AFRL/RQ towards achieving its goals.
  • Building a Strategic Workforce for AFRL (2020)

  • In 2020, our team joined forces with the Strategic Workforce Tiger Team and Scoop Associates partners to co-facilitate the development of a robust strategic workforce planning proposal for AFRL HQ. Our collaborative efforts encompassed crafting high-level and detailed project plans in Microsoft PowerPoint, ensuring clear communication and streamlined project management throughout the process. This comprehensive proposal established a roadmap for optimizing AFRL’s workforce by aligning talent strategy with future requirements. By laying the foundation for a future-proof workforce strategy, this project positioned AFRL to remain at the forefront of scientific and technological advancement.
